Tiye Williams and Dylan Pratt both won their matches on Day Two of the Canadian Junior Open Squash Championships.
Williams who recorded Bermuda’s first win moved through to the Girls Under 15 Quarter-Finals. Williams needed five sets to defeat Rachel Copas 9-11, 11-8, 11-7, 9-11, 11-9, while Pratt defeated Tommy Littler in straight sets 11-2, 11-4, 11-3.
Caroline Alexander went down to Canadian Bethany Churchill 11-5, 11-3, 11-0, Madeleine Rose went down in straight sets to her Mexican opponent Ophelia Barriga 11-0, 14-12, 11-3.
Jacques DeVerteuil went down to Hunter Kristjansson in straight sets 11-3, 11-2, 11-1, while Laird Simmons went down to Andrew Devries 11-0, 11-3, 11-5. D’Vario Thompson went down to J. Khalil 9-11, 11-5, 11-5, 11-3 and Susanna Armano went down to J. Sherven 11-8, 11-3, 11-6.
