The 60th playing of the Bermuda Goodwill Pro-Am Golf Tournament continued with Round Two completed under perfect golfing condition for the players, and many of the teams took advantage and moved up the leader boards.
Junior Men’s Team Division
GROSS- Leading after two round is the Performance Academy at Magna from Canada with a two day total of 10 under par (-10). Two shots back are the clubs of Hidden Valley GC and Kings Riding GC both on 8 under par (-8). Defending Champions from Lambton Golf and CC are at -6 after two days.
Senior Men’s Team Division
GROSS- Par 5 Club have a two day total of 11 under par (-11) and a two shot lead over Hi5Golf and the Oshawa Golf and Curling Club who both sit at 9 under par (-9).
Ladies Team Division
GROSS – Mid Ocean Ladies have taken a 3 shot lead over the Riddell’s Bay Ladies and sit at 7 under par (-7). Right behind the local teams are London Hunt &CC at 2 under par (-2), Lambton Golf &CC at 7 over par (148) and Toronto Golf Club at 6 over par (149).
Professional Men’s Division
Chris Smith of the Par 5 Club has extended his points lead by 6 points after an impressive 22 points at the Mid Ocean Club. Terry Hatch from the Hidden Valley Golf has moved into second place with a two day total of 37 points (20 points at Port Royal). In Third Place is Danny King of the Performance Academy At Magna with a two day total of 36 points.
Professional Senior Men’s Division
Canadian Danny Mijovic has taken the overnight lead after posting 22 points at the Tuckers Point Club to take his two day total to 39 points. Past winner, Scott Spence of the Lakes Country Club is in second with 37 points, 19 today at Tuckers Point. Jim Sheerin from Abenaqui Country Club is currently tied for 3rd with Ted Griffin of Woodland Golf Club, both with two day totals of 33 points.
Professional Ladies Division
Wendy Shankelton of the London Hunt and Country Club ended her round yesterday with an impressive 21 points at the Riddells Bay Golf Club to take a 7 point lead over her nearest rivals. She added to her lead in round 2 at the Mid Ocean club with 13 points giving her a two day total of 34 points. In Second is Johnalee Marshall of the Toronto Golf Club with a two day total of 23 points. Ann Carroll of Lampton Golf and Country Club has a two day total of 20 points while Judithanne Astwood has a total of 13 points.
