Michael Sims shot a Fifth Round Even par 72 at the PGA TOUR Qualifying Tournament and is T116th 19 strokes of the leader.
The Final Qualifying Stage competition is scheduled to be conducted at stroke play over 108 holes (6 rounds), played on two courses the PGA West - TPC Stadium Course and the PGA West - Nicklaus Tournament Course.
Playing on the PGA West - TPC Stadium Course, Sims’ Round included 2 Birdies, 14 Pars and 2 Bogey’s. Sims’ final Birdie saved his round as it came on the par 4 eighteenth. Sims started out on the front nine with a Bogey on the par 4 first, he then ran off seven consecutive Pars, before a Bogey on the par 4 ninth saw him make the turn at 1-under. On the back nine Sims shot five consecutive Pars, before recording a Birdie on the par 4 fifteenth, Sims would then shoot back to back pars before closing out with the Birdie on eighteen.
