The Bermuda Rugby Football Union League season continued at the National Sports Center.
In the first Men’s Division game of the day, the Teachers defeated the Mariners 33-20. With Try’s from Shautino Simons, Antonio Perinchief-Leader, Patrick Richardson and Adam Chivers, as well as Conversions from Simons the Teachers led 26 – 15 at the half. Andrew Barnes had two Try’s and had the Seneko Thomas other for the Mariners before the break. In the second half the game was stopped for some five minutes as an all out brawl took place near the Mariners bench, when it was all said and done, only one play was sent to the sin bin. After the restart Teachers got a Try from Anthony Cupidore and a Conversion from Simons as they extended their led to 33 – 15, minutes before the end Chris Lapoka scored a Try for the Mariners to make the score 33 – 20.
In the second men’s game of the day the Renegades defeated the Police 23 – 21.
Jahan Cedenio scored a Try for the Renegades to take a 5 – 0 lead, Ian Henderson kicked a 3 point Conversion to make it 8 – 0. The Police got back into the game when Paul Davis scored a try and Tristen Kermode kicked the Conversin making the score 8 – 7. David Pringle next put Police in front when he scored a Try and when Kermode kicked the Conversion he made the score 14 – 8. Cedenio scored his second Try of the game, however the Conversion was missed thus making the score 14-13 in favor of the Police. Henderson kicked a Penalty to give the Renegades a 16 – 14 lead, Neil McGuiness went over for a Try for the Renegades and Henderson kicked the Conversion pushing the Renegades lead to 23 – 14. Police's Durnferd Davis scored a Try and Paul Davis kicked the Conversion to make the final score 23 – 21.
