Amlin Optimist Autumn Series continued with 29 sailors came out to sail in the colder moderate winds from the North West, racing was held in the area between Hinson's Island and 2 Rock, PRO Jay Hooper worked efficiently with his team to get five races in after a delay to starting the day's racing.
17 Gold Fleet sailors enjoyed to 15-18 knot breeze with Ceci Wollmann on 10 points winning a closely competed day ahead of Chase Cooper tied with Campbell Patton on 11 points. With 4th placed Matilda Nicholls on 14 and Mikey Wollmann on 15, you can see the racing was very tight after 5 great races.
The 12 Silver Fleet sailors were challenged by the early stronger winds, but as the breeze subsided their racing also became very close.
Adam Larson won the day on 6 points, tied with Felix Cutler, the tie was broken by the result of the last race being the deciding factor. 3rd was Luke Madeiros with 11 points, Charis Todd scored 14 and Nasojah Hall rounded out the top 5 with 18 points.
Overall in the Series 2 scores the Silver Fleet is led by Felix Cutler, the Gold Fleet and Combined Race Series is led by Matilda Nicholls.
