IslandStats.com
KPMG in Bermuda continues to strengthen its relationship with the Bermuda National Athletics Association (BNAA) in support of the KPMG Bermuda Invitational Mile.

On Friday, January 18, 2013, the KPMG Bermuda Invitational Mile will reach its 25th anniversary and KPMG in Bermuda and the BNAA remain committed to partnering to ensure this milestone presents a successful Event, and Race Weekend.

The KPMG Bermuda Invitational Mile attracts students aged 8 to 18 from all local schools, who vie for the opportunity to participate in the international event. The students get the opportunity to meet and train with elite runners from around the world. This initiative has been a huge success for KPMG in Bermuda and the local community, attracting international and local athletes alike to compete in the prestigious event.

Different from years past, the Mile Trials for the 2013 KPMG Bermuda Invitational Mile for multiple age categories will be held on one day only, and running enthusiasts and specialists ranging from primary school to seniors are invited to compete on Friday, November 30, 2012 at the National Sports Centre, starting at 6:00pm. A huge turnout is expected, with the fastest 25 runners under 8 minutes being invited to participate in the 2013 KPMG Bermuda Invitational Mile, held along Front Street and which kicks off the Bermuda race calendar year.

All applicants can register online at www.bermudatiming.bm or collect their entry form from Sportseller in the Washington Mall. Entry forms are also available at local schools across the island. Entries must be received no later than 4:30pm on Friday, November 23, 2012. Late entries will not be accepted. Registration fee is $8 for students and $15 for adults.

As always, spectators are welcome to come out and support your favorite athletes. If you have any questions, please contact the race director Mike Charles at 292-2615 or mcharles@but.bm.
