In Bermuda Netball Association Senior League action at the Bernard Park saw the game of the day between Young Men Social Club Lady Bluebirds and DataTech Netts which turned out to be a rollercoaster ride of excitement.
The game between the two teams was well fought as each team made dynamic rebounds, beautiful shots on goal and interceptions.
The Young Men Social Club Lady Bluebirds took the early lead showing why they were league champs last year. The tension was high and mistakes were made. By the end of the game Data Tech Netts made the least mistakes and capitalized and earned themselves a victory with a score of 44-33.
Gina Benjamin led the Data Tech nets to victory with 34 goals, while Kimale Evans scored 10, Danielle Raynor scored 20 goals for the Young Men Social Club Lady Bluebirds and Ebony Burgess added 13.
The Signworx Netts defeated the North Village Lady Rams Too 58-14. Danielle Onyia scored 41 goals for the Signworx Netts, while Jaylyn Hines scored 6 times, Amali Smith scored 5, Jasmyn Renfroe and Shi-Vaugh Lee scored three goals each. T'Yanna Hayward scored 6 goals for the Lady Rams Too, Lynnique Castle scored 4 goals, while Kandia Caisey and Shimea Irving scored two goals each.
Katie Brown scored 23 goals and Abbie Caldas added 13 goals as Robin Hood defeated the SS Warriors 36 – 19, meanwhile Deborah Deshields scored 29 goals to lead the WWC Pink Panthers to a 56 – 29 victory over the SS Tigers. Darrika Simons scored 27 goals for SS Tigers.
Under 12 League
Netts Black defeated the Devonshire Colts, while the NVCC Lady Rams defeated the Devonshire Cougar Cubs and the YMSC Baby Bluebirds defeated the Netts Greens.
Under 15 League
The Netts White defeated the Netts Green 33 – 5, Donnauri Robinson, Nia Dailey and Micah Pond all scored 11 goals for the Netts White, while Inshane Smith scored all 5 goals for the Netts Green.
The YMSC Bluebird Young'uns defeated the NVCC Lady Rams 30 – 13. Keizhari Knight scored 14 goals, while Imani Smith added 7 goal, Stashie Rogers scored 6 goals and Demiqua Daniels added 3 goals all for the YMSC Bluebird Young'uns. Xah-Niyah Hunt scored 10 goals for the NVCC Lady Rams and Jordyn Morris added 3.
