Dage Minors competed in the 78th Annual New England Country Championship which was held at Twin Brook Recreational Center in Cumberland, Maine.
This annual event brought together the top seven athletes from high schools across New England to run in a race that tested endurance, on a course appropriately dubbed “The Pain Cave”, made more challenging with the occasional patches of muddy water.
Participating schools were from Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont.
Minors led his school St. Johnsbury Academy as he crossed the line 34th in a field of 267 athletes running 5K, Minors completed the course with a time of 17:06 helping St. Johnsbury Academy secure 13th place out of 30 high schools.
