IslandStats.com
Sophomore Rebecca Barry scored two goals for the fifth time in the last seven games as Jessica Hollis and her University of Richmond Women’s Field Hockey teammates finished undefeated in the Atlantic 10, defeating La Salle 3-1.

Richmond won its 10th straight game to finish the regular season 15-4 and 7-0 in the Atlantic 10. Richmond won their eighth A-10 Regular-Season Championship in the last 11 years and will go for their eighth overall Atlantic 10 Tournament Championship next weekend at UMass.

Richmond, which has won two of the last three A-10 Championships, will play city-rival VCU on Friday at 11 a.m. in the Semi-Finals.

Barry assisted on Richmond’s first goal, setting up freshman Taylor Deitrick's 11th goal of the season just 2:05 into the game.

La Salle (8-11, 3-4 Atlantic 10) tied the game in the 44th minute, but that's when Barry brought her second-half heroics out for the third-straight game.

Barry dribbled from midfield and scored an unassisted goal in the 49th minute to give Richmond a 2-1 lead. Just as she had done in the previous two games, Barry then followed that up with another goal less than four minutes later.

Barry now has 15 goals on the season, having scored two goals in each of the last three games. In those three games, her two goals have come less than four minutes apart. She finishes the regular season with 39 points.
