Bean's St. John’s University captured a 12th-place finish among a highly competitive field.
Bean was the top finisher for St. John’s in her final career BIG EAST Championship race, as she placed 70th overall with a time of 23:57.21. In just her second career race, Kerri Butler crossed the line second for St. John’s and 75th overall with a time of 24:14.89.
Junior Chelsea Trant led the St. John’s pack for most of the race and ended up 79th overall with a time of 24:26.44. Michelle Duffy and Stephanie Van Pelt ran step for step through most of the course and finished 83rd and 84th respectively to round out the scoring for St. John’s. Duffy ran time of 24:38.56 and Van Pelt registered a 24:43.26 finish.
