Toronto Arenas edged the Atlanta Flames 8 – 7 in Bermuda Ball Hockey League action inside the BAA Gymnasium.
Shannon Gosse led Toronto to victory with a hat-trick, while Bruce Sinclair scored twice, Wayne Newhook, Chad Cundliffe and Rich Campbell all added a goal each. Cory Caouette scored 5 times, while Evan Gernant and Russ Rollins added a goal each for the Atlanta Flames.
The Colorado Rockies defeated the Winnipeg Jets 10 – 9. Chris Merritt and Jordan Gunter both found the net four times, Wayne Woloshyn also added two goals for the winners. Ernie Theriault scored a hat-trick for the Jets, who also got two goals from Cam Poland and Tom Washington, while Ryan Wilson and Ken Winford scored a goal each.
