Jennifer Chisnall, Heather Sinclair and their University of Western Women’s Field Hockey teammates played McGill for the second time this season, defeating them 3-0 on the season’s opening weekend in September.
Third-year defender Megan Duffy got the Western offence started with a well-placed shot off a short corner at the 19th minute mark. A series of quick releases from forwards Roganowicz and Crawford in the 31st and 33rd minute marks put Western up 3-0 at half.
The University of Western dominated the second half, with great ball possession and distribution from second-year midfield Chisnall and first-year midfield Leah Burke. Crawford and third-year Lauren Mackenzie both found the back of the net in the second half to make the final 5-1 in favor of Western.
