Ryan Gunn and his Penn State Berks Men's Cross Country team had two runners finish in the top-20 to place third at the Messiah College Invitational. The Penn State Berks collected 108 points, which trailed only the S.W.I.F.T. racing team (26 points) and host Messiah (38 points). Eastern University finished fourth with 122 points, followed by Penn State Abington, McDaniel College, and Alvernia University.
Connor Henry has been the top runner in all four of the Penn State Berks races this season. He continued his stellar performance by placing 14th out of 67 runners with a time of 29:31.90. Teammate Connor McLaughlin was not that far behind, taking 17th with his time of 29:59.70. Matt Martino was the next Berks runner to cross the finish line, clocking in at 30:34.40 to finish 29th, while Craig Hyatt was 32nd (31:09.00) and Gunn was 37th (31:52.70). Scott Lohin rounded out the Penn State Berks runners, finishing at 33:36.90 to place 51st.
