The IRB World Rankings was on alert as Paraguay hosted Bermuda in the latest RWC 2015 qualifying match in the Americas.
Paraguay, who cantered to the South American B Championship title earlier this month, went into the match ranked 10 places higher than Caribbean champions Bermuda, their visitors to Asunción.
Bermuda battled, however came out on the wrong end of a 27 – 14 match that went in favor of the host.
Bermuda got Try’s from Andre Landry and David Pringle, while Tom Edwards kicked 2 Conversions.
The South Americans following the victory climbed two places to 37th at Club Universitario de Asuncion and condemn Bermuda to a one place fall, slipping below Senegal to 50th.
