After a delay due to a hurricane the rescheduled Junior Caribbean Cycling Championships will be held this weekend in Dominican Republic.
The Bermuda team includes Mark Godfrey, Vashon Cann and Deshi in the 17-18 Boys category, Daniel Oatley, Nico Barclay, Daelan Richardson and Nathaniel Hartwig in the 15-16 Boys category and Gabby Arnold in the 15-18 Girls group.
Kent Richardson and Peter Dunne are traveling as support for the team.
The 10K Time Trial is on Saturday and, since each country is permitted a maximum of two competitors in each TT category, Bermuda will be represented by Godfrey, Cann, Oatley, Hartwig and Arnold. The road race is on Sunday and is a 6K loop around a large park in Santo Domingo. Distances are 42K for girls, 60K for 15-16 Boys and 78K for 17-18 Boys.
