The President of the Caribbean Cycling Confederation, Trevor Bailey of St. Vincent, today advised the Bermuda Bicycle Association that the 2012 Junior Caribbean Cycling Championships scheduled for this weekend in Dominican Republic has been postponed due to the threat of Tropical Storm Issac.
The event will be rescheduled for either September or October once the organizers from the Federación Dominicana de Ciclismo find a suitable date.
Bermuda's team will hope to maintain their cycling form for this unspecified period as they have been focused on being at peak physical shape for this competition.
A new date is expected to be announced in the coming days.
