The first game of the day, the Phillies defeated the Marlins 7-6 in a thrilling game that went back and forth.
The Giants increased their lead in the Division by 3 games with a record of 5-0. The Giants defeated the Tigers 11-6. Key hits by Narsje Brokington and strong pitching by Mateo Rodriguez and Dylan Somerville led the Giants. The Tigers were led by Ian Anderson on the mound and at the plate, with help from Andrew Daly.
Rookies (7-9 year olds)
The Marlins and Orioles put on a defensive clinic in a thrilling 6-6 tie in 7 hard fought innings. Jackson Burns, Ryan Mullin and Jack Roberts led a team effort for the Marlins and Caroline Driscoll and Alex Southern provided clutch hitting for the Orioles.
The Tigers defeated the Red Sox 11-2. The Tigers were led with strong hitting solid fielding from the entire team, with Nicholas Bonano playing strong in the field and the plate for the Red Sox
In the final game of the day the Phillies defeated the Giants 14-8. James Ives III led the way for the Phillies with 3 hits, including a home run and a triple and also scored 3 runs. Braeden Baumgartner and Isaac Vogelzang contributed to the offense with each having two hits and scoring two runs. Armand Foy and Gabe Bloxom both make some very good plays in the field, supporting the win.
