The Bermuda Netball Association’s Summer Netball League got underway at the Bernard Park, the Breakers defeated BMA 26 – 23. Darrika Woodley-Simons led the way for the Breakers scoring 16 goals, while Debra Saltus chipped in with 10 goals. Chaquita Simmons scored 17 goals for BMA, while Cherie Manders added 5 goals and Timae Flood scored once.
The Lady Zebras defeated the Space Hoppers 24 – 14, Vernicka Symonds scored 24 goals for the Lady Zebras, while Lorraine Lewis scored 7 times for the Space Hoppers, who also got 5 goals from Abbie Caides and 2 goals from Joanna Heaney.
Jennifer Simmons and Shawnette Perot between them scored 41 goals to lead PWC to a 41 – 20 win over the Public Works, Nikita Trott and JahTuere Trott scored the goals for the Public Works.
