Cal Ripken League (10-12 year olds)

The day’s first game saw the Phillies win their first game of the season by defeating the Tigers 11-6. The shorthanded Phillies played well with Owen Neal pitching well and Finlay Turnball pitching his first Cal Ripken game, while the Tigers were led by Luc Bell and Ian Anderson.

The Giants continued their winning ways with a 8 - 2 win over the Marlins. The game was stopped for a few minutes after one of the Marlins pitchers was hit by a line drive, he later walked off the field. The Giants were led with strong pitching from Mateo Rodriguez and key hitting from Ricky Mallory, who leads the team in RBI’s, while the Marlins were led by Stephen Paynter and Chris Ricca.

Rookies (7-9 year olds)

The Orioles bats were alive once again scoring 17 runs against the previously undefeated Phillies. The Orioles were led by Nick Bridges, Owen Sullivan and Jadan Malpas, with Eco Valdez making some strong plays in the field. Phillies James Alves went deep over the fence, for his first homerun of the season.

The Red Sox then defeated the Giants 12-6. Red Sox were led by Marco Stirling, Matt Ingelman and Sam Resnik at the plate. Strong fielding by James Correa and Kaelin Paynter, kept the Giants at bay. Giants were once again led by Ryan Clements and Joshua Blee.
