The Giants (3-0) remained undefeated with a close win over the Phillies 9-8 (1-2) in 10 innings. Giants were led with strong pitching from Mateo Rodriguez, Dylan Somerville and Narsje Brockington making his first appearance in the Cal Ripken division. The Phillies were led by Billy Montgomery and Robbie Turnball, with strong fielding by Finlay Turnball. Giants won in the bottom of the 10th after a walk to John Dragonettie and a triple by Daniel Exell to drive in the winning run.
Rookies (7-9 year olds)
Phillies (2-0) continued their winning ways with a win over the Tigers (1-1) 16-7. The Phillies were led by Gabe Bloxom and Brett Baumgartner.
The after noon game had the Giants (1-1) playing the Orioles (1-1) With the Giants down in the bottom of the 6th, they were led off with a single by William Hulst and Ryan Clements won it with a triple, bringing in the winning runs. The final score being 7-6.
The night cap pitted the Red Sox (1-1) and the Marlins (1-1). The Red Sox won 12-7. The Red Sox were led by strong hitting of Marco Stirling and Jack Valenzia. Strong fielding of Nicholas Bonano and Sam Resnik, kept the Marlins off the board early.
