Action from the UK IslandStats.com Snow is expected later this week in the UK as the North Village Lady Rams youth team are experiencing the freezing temperatures during their Netball Tour.
Team coach Stacy Grant said, “We played in cold and rainy conditions versus Bablake School’s Under 14 A and B Teams.
“The A team played our Under 14s and the B team played a modified Under 12 team (they had a few U14 players on the team),” continued Grant.
The North Village Lady Rams Under 12s went down 17 - 11. Brianna Swainson scored 8 goals, Zariah Simmons scored 2 goals and Shantel Ball scored 1 goal, while Mikerah Moore was voted Player of the Match
The North Village Lady Rams Under 14s also went down, they were defeated 45 - 26. Jordyn Morris scored 15 goals and Deja Harvey scored 11 goals. Harvey was named Player of the Match.
Grant went on to say, “The Bablake team that we played were very good. This year they made it to the Coventry National Championships.”
Grant concluded, “Our opponents were much taller than us. So much that the girls asked if we were sure they were playing in the correct age group, we lost but each team executed all instructions given and played some good netball despite the freezing cold.”
