Steven Bremar put Watford Sports Club on the board by winning his game against Keith Smith 42-30. Zane DeSilva kept things rolling for Watford Sports Club by defeating Courtland Furbert 55-30. Bremar/Tony DeSilva defeated Smith/Furbert to take the doubles game 50-34 as the two teams shared the points with a 3 – 3 draw.
Queens Club One 5 Warwick Workman’s Club Two 1
Queen’s Club One cruised to a 5-1 victory over Warwick Workman’s Club Two. Matt Garrod defeated Wally Tucker 51-24 and 54-39 giving Queen’s Club an early lead. Mike Zimmerman won his game against Andre Burgess 66-31. Karl Wilson defeated Reuben Burchall 55-47. The doubles match saw Burchall/Burgess defeat husband and wife duo Karl/Katt Wilson 58-41.
Royal Artillery Association’s 4 Sandy’s Boat Club 2
Peter Bromby and Mike McGowan split a game each in the two leg frame. Bromby took the first game 69-19 and McGowan won the second game 58-50. Honky Burrows defeated Martin Siese 33-31. Joseph Hayward defeated Stuart Matthews 65-31. The doubles game saw Siese/Matthews defeat Hayward/Burrows 49-27.
Watford Sports Club Two 3 Spanish Point Boat Club Two 3
Aaron Bean helped Watford Sports Club Two cruise to a 3-3 draw against Spanish Point Boat Club Two. Bean defeated Chris Dakin 59-24 and 52-25. Sticks Henderson kept the winning streak going by narrowly winning his game against Stuart Greenslade 77-74. Ed Gumbs defeated Tony Dawson 89-11. Denis Coyle/Gumbs took the doubles game 60-35 against Dawson/Timmy Simons.
