The Bermuda YAO Baseball team had a tough start from a score perspective, at the New England Region Baseball Tournament, the Bermuda Team consists of Mateo Donawa, Christopher Ricca, Mateo Rodriguez, Andrew Daly, Dylan Sommerville, Joshua Allen, Ben Cook, Joey Dougherty, Corey Simas, and Max Betetto, while the coaches are Andrew Cook, Chris Dougherty, Mike Daly and Donovan Stubbs.
YAO Bermuda went down 10-0 to Marlborough, but it was closer than score indicated, Simas pitched an outstanding game, and the Bermuda fielding was terrific.
Bermuda faced a team with tremendous bats and the score was just 3-0 until very late.
Coach Cook said, “Once the nerves calmed down, we got some base runners, but a few good plays erased a couple good scoring chances. We played as well as we could play, but just faced a stronger team this game.”
