This YAO Senior League make-up game was s back and forth game from the first pitch to the last out as the Marlins defeated the A’s 13 - 11. A's coach Stefan Stecko fell into the same spot as Marlins coach Derek Anderson did last week as the A's lost both game this weekend against the Marlins.
The Marlins struck first scoring 5-runs in the first 2 innings behind pitcher Jaylen Martin. Martin, who pitched 3 solid innings, give up 4 runs with 3 strikeouts.
The A's bats where silenced in the 4th and 5th innings with Marlins pitcher K.J. Moreno returning from an injury. The Marlins, behind Moreno, scored 4 more runs giving them a solid lead of 9-5 through 5 innings. The A's would not just roll over in this contest as they scored 6 runs in their halves of the 6th and 7th innings.
Unfortunately for the A's though, they came up 2 runs short as the Marlins rebounded and scored 4 of their own in the home-half of the 6th.
