Action from the YAO Ball Park
IslandStats.com
In YAO Senior League Baseball action at the YAO Senior League Ball Park saw the Marlins defeat the A’s 14 - 2 and then the Orioles defeated the Blue Jays 22 - 5.

Plagued by injuries before and during the game, the A's had a tough day. Jari Ming stayed tough on the mound for the A's though battling through 4 innings striking out 10 batters on 6 hits.

The Marlins showed a great improvement from last week all around as they found their bats and left their errors at home scoring 14 runs on 8 hits behind the sparkling pitching of Michael Betteto who went 4 innings giving up just 1 hit and 1 run. He was then followed by K.J. Moreno who struck out 6 and also only giving up 1 run.

Meanwhile the game was going well for the Blue Jays up until the bottom of the 5th. The score line was at 6-5 in favor for the Orioles when pitcher, Abraham Saul who had pitched 4 solid innings striking out 8 had to come out of the game. The rest, as the box score shows, was history for the Blue Jays.

Taking nothing away from the Orioles, Conor Lohan saw his first action of the season on the mound going 3 strong innings facing 13 batters and striking out 9. Cam Neal was at it again at the plate, going 3-4 belting a single and 2 doubles.
