Orioles 13 Marlins 5

It was one of those days for the Marlins where anything that could go wrong did. Before assigned starting pitcher Michael Betteto could throw an official pitch, he was scratched with elbow troubles. The Marlins. K.J. Moreno pitched 4 solid innings with 8 strikeouts.

Taking nothing away from the Orioles, Bruce Sandham pitched 4 innings with 7 strikeouts, followed by Brandon Ray who pitched 3 innings with 2 strikeouts. The Orioles bats where very much alive, scoring 13 runs on 8 hits. Even the smallest player on the team, Cam Neal, blasted a 2-run double that was about 10 feet from being a near 300ft 3-run homerun.

A's 20 Blue Jays 14

This Blue Jays team was a totally different one than the one that showed up last week versus the Marlins. Poised and ready to play ball they came out swinging picking up 12 of their 14 runs between the 4th and 6th innings. The Blue Jays showed they've got heart and never say die attitude and wouldn't let their first week lost deter them.

The A's played a steady game at the plate but their 3 errors proved to more costly then the Blue Jays 8. Evan Hughes pitched 4 innings with 4 strikeouts, going 4-5 at the plate. Liam Evans went 3-5 with 3 singles.
