In a hard fought battle, West End Sports Club One defeated Warwick Workmen’s Club One by a score of 4-3 to lift the League Cup.
Steven Bremar sunk the pink and black and then a re-spotted black to claim the first game 62 – 55 over Keith Smith, giving West End Sports Club One the lead and setting the high break at 22. Leon Smith got 2 points back for Warwick Workmen’s Club One with 49 – 44 and 53 – 41 wins over Tony DeSilva. Zane DeSilva then defeated Gary Bascome 70 – 8 to put West End Sports Club One back in the lead. Keith Smith and James Talbot then defeated Zane DeSilva and Steven Bremar 59 – 37, tying the match.
It then came down to drawing a tie breaker match with Zane DeSilva and Keith Smith coming out of the hat. Smith once again went down to a black ball re-spot and DeSilva took the victory 52 – 45 giving West End Sports Club One the title.
