Jamere Griffin, a former native of Bermuda, who has resided in Gulfport, Mississippi for the past seven years played for the D’Iberville High School Varsity Baseball team that was tipped 7-6 in a league outing with the visiting West Harrison.
D’Iberville trailed from start to finish, they gave up a run in the top of the 1st inning, before scoring a run in the bottom half of the inning.
West Harrison scored two runs in the top of the 2nd and three runs in the top of the 3rd to take a 6 – 1 lead, D’Iberville fought back and going into the bottom half of the final inning they were down 7 – 4, they managed to score two runs but could not find the extra run. Griffin went 1 – 3, with a walk.
