Jamere Griffin, a former native of Bermuda, who has resided in Gulfport, Mississippi for the past seven years played for D’Iberville Warriors High School Varsity Baseball team that went down 10-2 against the visiting Biloxi Indians baseball team.
D’Iberville scored a run in the bottom of the first to take a 1-0 lead, but Biloxi scored a run in the top of the second to level the score, D’Iberville took the lead again in the bottom of the third before Biloxi again pulled level in the top of the fourth.
The team went scoreless until the top of the seventh inning when Biloxi scored 8 runs and then shot D’Iberville out in the bottom half of the inning to win by 8 runs.
Griffin had three at bats going zero for three, with two strike outs, Griffin did have an RBI.
