Jamere Griffin, a former native of Bermuda, who has resided in Gulfport, Mississippi for the past seven years played for D’Iberville High School Varsity Baseball team in their 6 – 2 loss to Harrison Central High School.
Harrison jumped out to a 4 – 0 lead after two innings, before D’Iberville pulled two runs back in the top of the fifth inning, however in the bottom half of the inning Harrison Central scored two runs of their own to lead 6 – 2, with two innings to play, neither team could score another run as the home team walked away with the victory.
Griffin had three at bats going one for three, that included a double and a strike out.
