Four shots separate the leaders setting up an exciting final round tomorrow in the Ross Blackie Talbot Junior International Golf Classic.
16-18 Division – Gross
Overnight leader Damian Palanyandi gave the field a lifeline today with an 8 over 78 but maintained the overall lead by a slim 4 shots. Palanyandi sits on 145, 4 over after two rounds. Ryan Benevides is in second place after he recorded a 3 over 73 giving him a realistic chance in tomorrow’s final round. Benevides is at 149, 8 over par.
16-18 Division – Net
No change in the leaders for net with Palanyandi sitting at 139, 2 under par. In second place is Benevides at 6 over, 147 after two rounds.
13-15 Division – Gross
Anrdrea De Bono from Basiglio, Italy continues his charge to win his division after recording a 2 over 72 giving a two day total of 7 over, 148 and a 3 shot lead over Sean Boyle, from Catonsville, Maryland who made a charge with a 1 over 71 putting him at 10 over par 151. Sean Trainor from White Plains, NY who posted the best score of the day, a 1 under 69, putting him into contention after two days with a two day total of 153, 12 over par.
13-15 Division – Net
Matthew Smith is dominating the net division by 10 shots after recording a net 53 adding to his total of 64 yesterday putting him on 24 under, 117 overall. Philip Hagen is in second on 127, 14 under par.
Boys 12 & Under
Justin Stagg from White Plains, NY posted a 77 today giving him a two day total of 156, 15 over par and a 8 stroke lead going into the final round tomorrow. Cameron Chottiner from the USA is in second place on 164, 23 over par after adding a 76 today to his total of 88 yesterday.
Girls Open Division
Zayla Smith leads by five shots with a 58 over 199 over Elizabeth Parsons who came in with a 97 taking her two day total to 204, 63 over par. Lydia Barit remains in third place.
Novice 9 Hole Division
Jonathan Diforio from White Plains, NY continues his dominance in this division with another respectable 9 hole score of 47 giving him a two day total of 19 over par, a 12 shot lead going into the final round tomorrow. In second place is Dakota Lamb from Bermuda with a two day total of 31 over par.
