Dill in Canada & Smith in Trinidad

Roger Dill

Only day’s after standing in the middle the Annual Cup Classic Roger Dill is now in Canada to officiate the ICC Intercontinental Cup match between Canada vs Zimbabwe XI.

The match is being played at Maple Leaf South-West Ground, Toronto. Dill will be in the middle along with Karran Bayney, while Adrian Griffith stands as the Match Referee.

Dill and Bayney officiated together in Bermuda during the Intercontinental Cup match between Bermuda and Namibia at the National Sports Center September 3rd-6th, 2008.

The pair played a part back in August of 2006 when Hasan Durham, was reported for a potentially flawed action after the second ODI against Canada in Toronto.

Precious Smith

The Bermuda Cricket Board announced that Precious Smith has been selected by the ICC Americas to take part in the ICC Americas Academy, August 3rd – 14th, in Trinidad and Tobago.

The mission of the Academy is to develop high caliber players with technical, physical, mental and healthy lifestyle skills who are committed, responsible and have a strong work ethic to succeed at club, first class and international levels.

Whist at the Academy the players will focus on improving the following skills:

 Technical skills - net sessions, game sense training, video analysis and the rules of the game
 Physical fitness - assessments, endurance, flexibility, speed, strength and agility training
 Lifestyle - nutrition
 Lifeskills - public speaking, media skills, team building, leadership and etiquette training
 Games - inter-academy games and local teams

The Academy will take place at the Sir Frank Worrell Development Centre in Trinidad and Tobago. The programme will be run by Ann Browne-John, ICC Women's Committee Representative, former West Indies Captain and Level 2 WICB Coach.
