Day 3 of the 2010 Optimist International Junior Golf Championships was tougher than Ryan Roberts would have expected at PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, USA.
With an alligator 18 inches away from his ball on the 11th hole today, Roberts was forced to take an unplayable lie on his way to shooting 7-over par 79.
Roberts was taking part in the Boy’s 16 – 18 Age Group category shot 2 Birdies, 11 Pars, 2
Bogeys, 2 Double Bogeys and 1 Triple (thanks to the alligator!!)
Roberts finished the tournament on +19 leaving him T70th. The tournament attracted the best junior players from all over the world and was a fantastic experience played on 2 very challenging courses.
