Peter Ried the Plymouth coach said, he likes the sound of Birmingham City goalkeeper Colin Doyle.
Republic of Ireland international Doyle kept a clean sheet for Birmingham City in their 1-0 win at Hereford on Wednesday.
"Doyle looked very assured, a good stature in there," said Peter. "I thought he did well. We're a quiet side and, sometimes during the game, he was the only voice I could hear, which I thought was a big bonus."
Peter's search for a second goalkeeper, in addition to Romain Larrieu, recently saw Bermuda’s Under-23 International Freddy Hall having a trial at Home Park.
“It's an important position," said Peter. "Romain's done great, but we need competition for places. That's important.
"Hall has gone back and we'll be taking another look at him because I think he's one that needs work, in terms of positional sense and things like that."
