 Jordan Bascome IslandStats.com Bermuda athletes continue competing at the Silver Jubilee Athletic Stadium in Bird Rock, St Kitts on Day Two of the Caribbean Union of Teachers Championships.
Jordan Bascome finished 5th in the Girls Under 15 High Jump with a leap of 1.45m, while Jahtia Smith finished 7th in the Girls Under 13 Long Jump with a leap of 4.15m. Competing in the Boy’s Under 13 Long Jump Haile Eve finished 11th with a leap of 4.12m, Syriah Lottimore qualified for the Girls Under 11 200 meter Dash Final when she recorded the 4th fastest qualifying time. Azaire Smith finished the Girls Under 13 Preliminaries with the 6th fastest time of 27.39 to advance to the final.
Eve recorded the 14th fastest time of the Boys Under 13 200 meter Dash Preliminaries with a time of 29.96, while Antonio Bailey finished 10th in the Boy’s Under 15 200 meter Dash Preliminaries with a time of 25.00. Syriah Lottimore finished the Girls Under 11 Cricket Ball Throw in 9th with a toss of 24.19m, while Ember Butterfield finished 8th in the Girls Under 13 Cricket Ball Throw. Competing in the Girls Under 15 Long Jump, Zakiya Adams finished 12th with a leap of 4.18m, while Kidane Callender finished 6th in the Boy’s Under 15 Long Jump leaping 5.25m.
Azaire Smith finished the Girls Under 13 200 meter Dash Finals in 6th place with a time of 27.13. Lottimore finished 5th in the Girls Under 11 200 meter Dash Finals with a time of 28.82. Dezhane West finished 8th in the Girls Open 800 meter race with a time of 2:39.69, while Jeremiah Steee finished 10th in the Boy’s Open event. Bermuda finished the Girls 800 Sprint Medley OPEN race in 5th place with a time of 1:54.52, while the Boy’s finished 9th in 1500 Sprint Medley OPEN clocking 4:31.23.
