Bermuda Go Down in Manchester
The Bermuda Lacrosse Association Team were defeated by Slovakia 12 – 7 during the 2010 Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) World Championships continued in Manchester, England,

Bermuda took the lead after only 1.20 gone off the clock with Dominic Gallina scoring from a Doug Bell pass, however Slovakia rebounded to score three times, David Washo scored twice and Martin Kramar scored to give them a 3 – 1 lead, but Rick Field pulled a goal back as the teams ended the first quarter with a score of Slovakia 3 - Bermuda 2.

Slovakia got goals from Bradley Vrecko, Tomas Lichtner and Ivan Eernak as they took a 6 – 2 lead, but Steve Kojima closed out the scoring in the first half to bring Bermuda within 3.

DJ Johnston scored back to back goals to pull Bermuda within one goal making the score 6 – 5, but again Slovakia answered with three more goals, Washo, Kramar and Stanislav Purgat all found the net to end the quarter with a 9 – 5 lead.

Slovakia outscored Bermuda 3 – 2 in the final quarter for the 12 – 7 win, two Lichtner strikes and Juraj Kovaeik scored the Slovakia goals, while Ken Winford and Tyler Masters scored for Bermuda.
