Promoter and president of Jiketsu Martial Productions, Reuben Bean is anticipating another exciting night of high-octane professional boxing and mixed martial arts action.
All this following this evening’s weigh in for the SMASHDOWN between Bermuda’s NABC Middleweight World Champion Teresa Perozzi against Cimberly Harris from Tampa Florida for their fight at Berkeley Institute Gymnasium on Saturday, July 24, 2010.
Both fighters made the required weight of 160lbs, with Perozzi on the scale first and then Harris climbed onboard.
Jiketsu Martial Productions have also hosted past international quality events—Sanshou Showdown in 2007, Fist of Fury in 2008 and Budo Cup in 2009 and Bean said, “We are thrilled to once again bring Bermuda a night of hard-hitting, professional female boxing and full-contact, mixed martial arts action.”
Sanshou (Chinese full contact art referred to as Sanda – “Free Fighting”) and Muay Thai (Thai Boxing full contact art referred to as “Art of Eight Limbs”) will clash in the ring to compete for titles in distinct weight categories at Smashdown, starting at 8pm, with doors opening at 7pm.
