The Bermuda Lacrosse Association Team recorded its third ever International win at the Men’s level when they defeated Latvia 8 – 7 during the 2010 Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) World Championships continued in Manchester, England,
Bermuda found themselves down 3 – 0 after 11:15 of the first quarter after Latvia got 2 goals from Edgars Purmalis and a single strike from Gatis Zeps, but Dominic Gallina pulled a goal back for Bermuda with Tyler Masters getting the assist. Ainars Lieknins made it 4 – 1 to Latvia, before Gallina scored his second and Masters also found the net to end the quarter with the score 4 – 3.
Bermuda got two goals from while Lieknins scored for Latvia as he two teams went to the break with the score 5 – 5.
Lieknins completed his hat-trick in the third quarter as Latvia took the lead, but Gallina completed his hat-trick to pull Bermuda level.
In the fourth and final quarter, Purmalis gave Latvia the lead, but Masters pulled Bermuda level and the Johnston completed his hat-trick for the winner.
