Robert Vallis began his First Round of the Senior British Open shooting a 6-over par 77 to finish T105. Vallis playing at the Carnoustie Golf Links in Scotland received his invitation after winning the British Senior Amateur title last year.
Meanwhile Bernhard Langer, Jay Don Blake, and Carl Mason each shot a 4-under 67 to share the first-round Senior British Open lead at Carnoustie. Vallis was T74th after 16 holes but back to back Bogey’s saw him fall down the Leaderboard. Vallis shot 12 Pars in his first round and 6 Bogey’s.
