The Bermuda Lacrosse Association Team recorded its second ever International win at the Men’s level when they defeated Norway 8 – 4 during the 2010 Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) World Championships continued in Manchester, England,
Bermuda jumped out to a 2 – 0 lead in the first quarter on goals from Dominic Gallina and Tyler Masters. Doug Bell recorded the assist on Gallina’s goal.
In the second quarter Norway scored three unanswered goals to take a 3 – 2 lead into the break, they got goals from Ole Petter Leite, Sigurd and Patrik Jacobsen.
Bermuda out scored Norway in the third quarter 4 – 1 to lead 6 – 4 going into the finaql period, Masters added his second, while Ernie Therriault scored twice and DJ Johnston added the other with Leite scoring the lone strike for Norway. Rick Fields had an assist on one of Therriault’s goals, while Stephen Michel assisted on Johnston’s goal.
In the final frame Gallina found the back of the net twice to complete his hat-trick to earn Bermuda their 8 – 4 victory, Steve Kojima assisted on Gallina’s second goal.
