IslandStats.com
After going down 16 – 2 to Poland on the first day of action in the 2010 Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) World Championships in Manchester, England, the Bermuda team faced off against the same team today.

The Polish were looking for a repeat scoreline, however the Bermuda team would have none of it as Bermuda fought hard going down 14 – 10.

Poland led 2 – 1 after the first quarter on goals from Josh Coveleski and Colin Jesien, while Bermuda got a goal from Dominic Gallina, from a Rick Fields pass.

Poland scored four unanswered goals in the second quarter to lead 6 – 1 at the break, two goals from Mike Szpiech and single strikes from Jesien and Coveleski had them thinking they would run away with it.

In the third quarter the teams traded four goals, Bermuda got two goals from Fields and single strikes from Tyler Masters and Doug Bell, while Justin Rychlicki scored a hat-trick for Poland and Coveleski completed his hat-trick to end the quarter with Poland leading 10 – 5.

In the fourth and final quarter Bermuda got three goals from Bell and one from Kyle Tucker to pull within one making the score 10 – 9, however Poland then got 2 goals from both Colin Jesien and Rychlicki to take a 14 – 9 lead and then Fields closed out the scoring to make the final score 14 – 10.
