The Bermuda Hogges ended their final USL Premier Development League game with a 2 – 1 loss to visiting Northern Virginia Royals at the BAA Field.
The Royals opened the scoring in the 17th minute when Richard Edgar scored from one of their seven first half shots.
In the 49th minute the Hogges came close to equalizing when they were awarded a penalty, after Angelo Simmons was bought down in the box. The Hogges leading scorer Keishen Bean stepped up to take the penalty which Royals goalkeeper Harry Lockwood made the save.
The Hogges did manage to pull level when they were awarded their second penalty of the match when Bean was fouled by the Royals goalkeeper Lockwood in the 63rd minute. This time Troy Tucker, made no mistake.
In injury time defender, Sath Goldman, scored the winner from a corner kick taken by Mark Wysacki, Goldman headed home an unchallenged header giving the visitors their second win on Bermuda Soil.
