The Bermuda Pacers Track Club have had a successful start to the United Age Group Coaches Association's Track Meet at Widener University, Philadelphia. Pacer members on Day 1 have won a Gold Medal and Two Silver Medals.
Syriah Lottimore has qualified for the Girls 200 Meter Dash Bantam Finals when she recorded the second fastest qualifying time in 29.25, while Mikaela Outerbridge finished 15th clocking a time of 33.17. Two Pacer runners have qualified for the Girls 200 Meter Dash Midget Finals. Azaire Smith finished second overall with a time of 27.52 in the Preliminaries, while Jamie Smith finished sixth with a time of 28.03 to advance to the finals. Anasia Barclay recorded a time of 29.31 to finish 17th, while Demiqua Daniels finished 28th with a time of 31.21 and Tasharah Richardson finished 37th with a time of 33.24.
Kevonte Jennings-Lathan and Haile Eve both failed to reach the Boy’s 200 Meter Dash Midget Finals, Jennings-Lathan finished 14th with a time of 28.44 and Eve finished 18th with a time of 29.09. Jah-Nhai Perinchief finished 27th in the Boy’s 200 Meter Dash Youth Preliminary race with a time of 38.43, meanwhile Karim Creary finished 17th in the Boy’s 200 Meter Dash Intermediate Preliminaries with a time of 24.37. Dmitri Williams finished 23rd with a time of 23.85 in the 200 Meter Dash Young Men Preliminaries.
Zakiyyah Showers just missed out on a podium appearance when she finished 4th in the 1500 Meter Run Midget Girls Final, while Kyrah Scraders did make the podium collecting a Silver Medal finishing 2nd in the 1500 Meter Run Youth Girls Final with a time of 5:00.05. Jahmari Sutton was 14th in the 1500 Meter Run Youth Boys Final with a time of 5:02:12.
Jordan Bascome finished the Long Jump Youth Girls event in 6th place with a leap of 4.51m, while Deesa Booth won the Silver Medal in the Shot Put 4kg Intermediate Girls event with a throw of 9.79m. Demiqua Daniels won the Gold Medal in the Javelin Throw Turbo 300gr Midget Girls Final with a throw of 20.18m.
