The team round of the Caribbean Junior Squash Championships in Cayman Islands saw Guyanese girls wrap up Pool A with a 5 - 0 win over the Bahamas to become the first team to reach the semi-finals. They were joined in the semis by Bermuda, who ended hosts Cayman's hopes with a 4-1 win.
In the Boys' event, the Defending champions Guyana were taken to a decider by Bermuda after Micah Richards and Noah Browne took two ties for Bermuda, while Deje Dias and Jean-Claude Jeffrey replied for Guyana, leaving it once again down to the Under 13s.
Guyana's Ben Mek always held the upper hand against a gallant Dylan Pratt, but that didn't stop every rally being greeted with whoops and hollers from the massed crowd - and it wasn't just Guyana and Bermuda, the match drew inquisitive spectators from all around the club. Mek won in straight sets to earn the defending champions the win.
