Sanshou (Chinese full contact art referred to as Sanda – “Free Fighting”) and Muay Thai (Thai Boxing full contact art referred to as “Art of Eight Limbs”) will clash in the ring to compete for titles in distinct weight categories at Smashdown, starting at 8pm, with doors opening at 7pm.
The night will be highlighted with a featured six-round middleweight bout starring Bermuda’s own NABC Middleweight World Champion Teresa Perozzi (record 6-3-1) against Cimberly Harris from Tampa Florida.
Promoter and president of Jiketsu Martial Productions, Reuben Bean is anticipating another exciting night of high-octane professional boxing and mixed martial arts action. Jiketsu Martial Productions have also hosted past international quality events—Sanshou Showdown in 2007, Fist of Fury in 2008 and Budo Cup in 2009.
“We are thrilled to once again bring Bermuda a night of hard-hitting, professional female boxing and full-contact, mixed martial arts action,” said Bean.
