Donna Watson the Bermuda Track and Field Association President said, “I am please with the performances, as stated previously the competition in the CAC region is a bit harder than Carifta. The distance area is normally dominated by the Mexicans, Puerto Ricans, most of the South American countries therefore our athletes found it a bit tough in the 1200m, 1500m & 3000m”.
“We had some good first time for International competition performers with Victoria Clarke making it to the finals in the 100m & 200m Under 17 Girls. Tristan Joynes made to the finals in the 110m hurdles Under 20 Boys and Shuntae Hendrickson made it to the finals in the 800m Under17 Girls”, continued Watson.
“I am very proud and pleased with these athletes as they really performed well and for some the season still has not finished,” concluded Watson.
