Two Members of the CAC Junior Team, which consists of 18 athletes have reached the Finals competing in Santo Domingo. Jeneko Place captured the Bronze Medal in the Boy’s Under 17 100 meter Finals with a time of 11.02, while Victoria Clarke finished 7th in the Girls Under 17 100 meter Finals with a time of 12.57.
Clarke running in Heat 2 of the Girls 100 meter Dash in the Junior B Division preliminaries finished 4th in a Personal Best time of 12.36, while Place won Heat 3 of the Boys 100 meter Dash Junior Division preliminaries recording the third fastest qualifying time, unfortunately Scott Clarke did not reach the final finishing 11th overall with a time of 11.29.
Jer-Quan Symonds did not reach the Finals in the Boy’s under 20 100 meters, Symonds recorded a time of 11.63 to finish 21st, then competing in the Boy’s Under 20 Long Jump Symonds finished 13th with his best leap being 6.10m.
In the Girls 1500 meters, Taylor-Ashley Beanfinished 5th recording a time of 4:58.61, while Ashley Berry finished 8th in 5:39.18. Shuntae Hendrickson finished 7th in the Girls Under 17 1200 meters with a time of 4:05.37.
In the Boy’s Under 17 1500 meters race Dage Minors finished 11th in a time of 4:300.12, while Juma Mouchette finished 12th in a time of 4:46.85.
