BGA Get Two More Sponsors

The Bermuda Golf Association announced its partnership with the Red Carpet Restaurant and Goslings Brothers for each of our monthly medals.

Both companies will be supplying the prizes for the winners in each flight. There will prizes for men and ladies closest to the pin and longest drives as well as the winners and runners up in both net and gross divisions. Both companies are very excited to be a part of this and look forward to seeing their contributions to the Bermuda Golf Association help boost the game of golf on the island for our members.

Manager and Tournament Director of the Bermuda Golf Association Scott Roy said, “The next monthly medal will be played on Saturday July 24th, 2010 at the Riddell’s Bay Golf Club. Tee times are from 8:00am until 9:00am”.

“Golfers are also, reminded to mark their calendars for the August 8th, 1:30pm shotgun start at the Port Royal Golf Club, ROMAY CUP and BERMUDA CUP competitions. The Romay Cup is the golfing battle between Somerset and St. George’s, men, women, junior golfers are welcome to participate. This will be a two person, 20 point match. Your team is determined by who you support for Cup Match. Please e-mail me if you wish to participate and what team you will be representing. This promises to be the re-starting of a grand event and not one to miss”, continued Roy.

“The Bermuda Cup will see the PGA of Bermuda vs. the top Amateurs in Bermuda and I can already say that some “trash talking” has already started. The format will be a Ryder Cup style with 1 point per match up for grabs and head to head competition.”, concluded Roy.
