Day 2 of the North American Optimist Championships hosted by the Canadian Optimist Dinghy Association (CODA) and CORK, got underway in Kingston, Ontario, Canada with the Bermuda’s Sam Stan remaining in fifth place overall.
Sailing in the Red Fleet Stan had another excellent day with two top ten finishes, in the first race of the day Stan finished ninth, before finishing thirteenth in the second race. Stan then finished fifth in the third race to finish the day with 43 points.
Antonio Bailey had finishes of 33rd, 22nd and 43rd in the Yellow Fleet to finish with 206 points, whileEllie Wollmann had finishes of 49th, 16th and 88th finished with 210 points in the White Fleet. Michael Barit had finishes of 35th, 31st and 58th in the Yellow Fleet finishing the day with 218 points.
Ceci Wollmann sailing in the Green Fleet finished theday with 237 points, while in the Blue Fleet Makai Joell finished with 243 points. Rory Caslin in the Blue Fleet finished with 277 points, while Ferdinand Arnold has 286 points in the Pink Fleet, Hannah Horsefield has 323 points in the White Fleet and Mickey Wollmann has 352 points sailing in the Green Fleet.
