With 5:10 remaining in the first quarter Ijahmon Mallory gave Arsenal the lead. Mallory took a 30 yard free kick that flew pass Jason Simons in goal for the Storm. Ralph Bean Jr. doubled the lead with two minutes to go in the quarter, Bean beat Simons to a long ball and slotted it into an empty net.
pulled a goal back for the Storm early in the second quarter, but Cecoy Robinson restored the Arsenal two goal lead. With 5 minutes remaining Coddington made it3 – 2 when he scored. Coddington completed his hat-trick in the quarter when he beat Jason Smith on a shoot-out goal, but twenty seconds later Michael Parson scored to give Arsenala 4 – 3 lead at half time.
Two minutes into the third quarter Fabien Frankson scored for Arsenal to make it 5 – 3, but with 4:35 remaining Kwame Steede pulled a goal back for the Storm the quarter came to an end with Arsenal leading 5 – 4 and just 15 minutes of regulation time to play.
One minute into the final period Kwame Steede equalized for the Storm with a low shot the beat Nigel Burgess in goal for Arsenal. With no other goals scored the game went into a Ten minute sudden-death overtime.
No goals in sudden-death the game would be decided by a sudden-death shootout.
Cornell Castle from Arsenal was first up and he scored, Domico Coddington from the Storm was next and he scored. Fabien Frankson from Arsenal was next and Jason Simons saved it giving Kwame Steede the chance to win it for the Storm but he took longer than the allowed five seconds.
Ralph Bean Jr. from Arsenal had his shot saved as did the Storm’s KevinLambe. Cecoy Robinson from Arsenal put his shot wide and Storm’s Otis Minors scored to give them their second title in four seasons.
